Ingredients

For the Oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats  (or quick oats for a faster option)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond or oat milk (or even water)
  • Pinch of Salt

For the Air-Fried Apples

  • 1 medium apple peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp  vanilla extract

Inspiration for the toppings

  • Chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Granola
  • Dried cranberries or raisins
  • Drizzle of almond butter or maple syrup
  • Chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Cook the Oatmeal
Combine oats, almond milk, and a pinch of salt in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats are creamy (about 5 minutes). Alternatively, prepare the oatmeal in the microwave according to package instructions.
  • Prep the Apples
Toss diced apples with maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
  • Air-Fry the Apples
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spread the spiced apples in a single layer on a piece of parchment paper or in an air fryer-safe dish.
Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring halfway through, until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Assemble & Serve
Spoon the cooked oatmeal into a bowl and top with the air-fried apples.
Add your favorite toppings: nuts, granola, dried fruit, or a drizzle of almond butter for added texture and flavor.
